MEASUREMENT AND ASSESSMENT CENTERS FOUNDED IN 81 CITIESThe Ministry of National Education has founded Measurement and Assessment Centers in 81 cities in an effort to assist measurement and assessment activities of the ministry. Teachers have completed training programs and began their missions in the centers which are equipped with optical readers, print machines and information communication technologies.
Measurement and Assessment Centers will be actively used for national and international coordinating student success surveys such as PISA and TIMSS and manage this process. Data obtained from student success surveys and reports based on this data will be submitted to school administrations and provincial education directorates.
Moreover, these centers will make an important contribution to the production of supplementary text and study books distributed free to students and teachers. Till now, the Ministry has prepared and distributed 36 million supplementary text and study books.
Periodical measurement and assessment concerning free support and remedial courses will be carried out by these centers.
