MINISTER OZER AND MINISTER ERSOY HOLD CONTACT MEETINGAfter the earthquake hit Kahramanmaraş, Pazarcık Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer and Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, went to Malatya and continued their investigations at the AFAD Malatya Coordination Center.
Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer and Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy held a contact meeting at the AFAD Coordination Center. Making statements here, Minister Özer said that they are facing the biggest earthquake disaster in the history of the Republic of Türkiye.
Minister Özer began his speech by expressing his condolences to the nation. Underlining that they have been in the region for two days and Özer said that they will get better day by day.
Emphasizing that these difficulties will be overcome together in unity and solidarity, Minister Özer noted that this is a period of unity and solidarity.
Stating that they will overcome these difficulties by using all resources effectively with coordination, Özer stated that Minister Ersoy, governors, deputies, mayors, NGO, the 2nd Army Command, the Gendarmerie and the units of the General Directorate of Security, follow up the process in coordination.
Education was suspended for two weeks in all 10 provinces that were hit by the earthquake
Reminding that all schools in Türkiye were closed until February 13, Özer reminded that education was suspended for two weeks in four provinces in the earthquake zone and for one week in the other six provinces. He added that education was suspended for two weeks in all ten provinces in the earthquake zone. Özer once again expressed his condolences and pointed out that the difficulties will be overcome together.
