MINISTER OZER MEETS WITH EARTHQUAKE SURVIVOR TEACHERS AND THEIR FAMILIES AT THE BAŞKENT TEACHER'S HOUSEMinister of National Education Mahmut Özer broke his fast with the teachers and their families who came to Ankara after the earthquake hit Kahramanmaraş and were hosted in Başkent Teacher's House.
Having conversation with the earthquake victims and their families before iftar, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer listened to their demands and gave instructions to the relevant officials to solve the problems.
Stating that the national education community has been mobilized with its staff and volunteers from the first day of the earthquake, Minister Özer said that while the state continues to heal the wounds with all its resources, they as the Ministry of National Education, offer many services to the families of earthquake victims, such as accommodation and food distribution. Özer noted that currently there are 350 earthquake-affected citizens in Başkent Teachers' House and they provide accommodation to approximately 60 thousand people in Ministry's institutions such as teachers' houses, practice hotels and hostels throughout the country.
Sharing a post on his social media account on the iftar program, Özer expressed that they came together with the earthquake victims they hosted in Başkent Teachers' House for iftar. Özer said that with the blessings of Ramadan, they leave behind the difficult days together with unity and solidarity.
Deputy Minister Sadri Şensoy, Director General of Personnel Fehmi Rasim Çelik, The Director General for Support Services Levent Özil, Director General for Private Education Institutions Mustafa Gelen and Ankara Provincial Director of National Education Harun Fatsa also attended the iftar program.
