MINISTER ÖZER: WE WILL BUILD 500 STEEL CONSTRUCTED SCHOOLS IN THE EARTHQUAKE REGIONMinister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that 500 new steel-constructed schools will be built in the region hit by the earthquake.
Minister of National Education Özer made a statement to ATV News in the tent city built in Kahramanmaraş, where he continues his investigations. Expressing the work plans on the 'normalization mobilization in education' carried out in the earthquake region, Minister Özer explained the activities to be carried out for the rapid construction of schools.
Stating that they took action quickly to take permanent steps, Minister Özer announced that they will build 500 new steel-constructed prefabricated schools in the region. Expressing that the planning has reached the final stage, Özer emphasized that they will continue to rapidly reinforce the region by constructing new schools which will be permanent in the region.
"18 million 750 thousand students continue their education"
Stating that they will enable schools to be quickly constructed and earthquake proof by using the new generation building technology, Özer said that 18 million 750 thousand students continue their education and they are mobilizing all resources of the Ministry to reunite 861 thousand students with education and training in 4 provinces in the region.
Expressing that they aim to bring children together with education and training in order to provide psychoeducation for children and to get over this traumatic situation as soon as possible, Minister Özer stated that they will overcome these difficult times together.
Minister Özer noted that chartered teachers provided support to students in the support and training courses established for students who will take the LGS and YKS exam in ten quake-hit provinces. Minister added that they will also provide all kinds of support such as fabric and machinery for 39 thousand 736 trainees in the public education centers in the region.
